Our community contains thousands of individual instructors, learning providers, and other experts who want to share what they know with their world and with ours.  

We provide a platform that supports packaging what you know so that it can be shared or sold.  Everything from our "Twitter-like" learning posts to individual tutoring, group classes, lessons, and more.  All learning formats can be listed through Knoitall and shared with others who are interested in what you teach.

We believe that social news feeds are engaging.  However, most are filled with content that doesn't enhance the development of the individual.  We are building learning feed technology that will provide the user with a constantly changing feed of learning-related content on her or his topics of interest.  Our goal is to povide the most valuable 15 minutes in a person's day.  We believe we can replace much of the wasted time in a person's day spent on other social networks, and, instead, filll that time with content that will enhance the development of every individual.

Why We Founded Knoitall

Our founder, Jeff Creighton, believes that there is a better alternative to the social networks that exist today...one in which you can log in, and in 15 minutes, leave a better you.  We understand that learning has to occur "just-in-time", when every person is ready for the learning to occur.

Research shows that learning providers earn more when they package their learning into a block of sessions tied to a set of learning outcomes.

Consumers will pay more for learning that is packaged into a distinct number of sessions that are tied to a specific set of learning outcomes.  Gone are the days when learning providers could simply say, "Sign up for lessons and I'll teach you how to play the piano".  Now, consumers want to know specifically what skills will be achieved, and in what time frame.  And they'll pay more when the learning provider can answer these questions.

Smart learning providers are using this new information to create learning packages that tie learning outcomes to a finite set of class sessions. This information is stored both in your account as well as the consumer's account so that there is never any question as to how many sessions have been completed.

We formed Knoitall to "Celebrate the World's Passion for Knowledge". 

Knoitall is a market network where it is as simple as Twitter for people to share or sell what they know. This simplicity in terms of learning and teaching others will allow for rapid growth to become the dominant network to acquire knowledge around the "Topics that interest me".

Everybody is a work in progress

We seek to be the place that people come to progress in all areas of their lives, both personal and professional.

We believe we will pass many milestones this year. As a first mover in this market segment, we plan to raise our awareness as the platform for the "Gig Economy" to sell what they know. We will be the first Company to offer a new channel of income to those of influence who seek to monetize their social capital. We will manage the most complete marketplace of classes, products, free resources, and services in support of continuous learning to a market that ranges in age from kindergarten to the grave. We will relentlessly pursue a strategy for customer satisfaction and market growth.

Why Now?

Time is a highly constrained resource. People realize that they are wasting their time in other social channels like Facebook. We are creating an addictive 15 minute experience in a user's day that leads to personal growth and development...a much more fulfilling proposition. Our learning activity platform will deliver a constantly changing feed of learning related ontent to our community around over 1,000 topics.  Every user can choose their topics of interest and the users they wish to follow.  Every time a learning provider posts new content, whether it be a learning post, a class, or tutoring opportunity, this content will populate the feeds of others who have expressed interest in those topics.

As the debate continues over the strength (or lack thereof) within our educational system, we will highlight the reality that over 70% of learning occurs outside of traditional education institutions through continuous learning opportunities that include tutoring, classes, products, and self directed instruction. We will do this out of an awareness that over 70% of the growth opportunity for private investors will occur through market expansion, client adoption, and financial execution in this market segment, which represents an opportunity that is roughly twice the size of the airline ticketing industry.

We have a window of opportunity. Larger players will inevitably consolidate resources to compete with our “frictionless” platform. Our goal is to move quickly to solidify our position through flawless execution of our technology and marketing strategies. We see substantial opportunity in the markets we are addressing. This opportunity is not without great risks, and requires serious investment to capitalize on our opportunity in this space.

Market Leadership

273 million US internet users = a potential for 82 million monthly active users in the U.S. (at 30% penetration). To put that into perspective, Pinterest has surpassed 150 million MAUs. We believe that building and maintaining market leadership will result in the greatest value for our shareholders, which is the ultimate measure of our success. Our strategy for market penetration, growth, and leadership will begin with bloggers.  There are over 189 million bloggers on the internet, and we provide them with a powerful way to monetize their online presence by packaging their knowledge in creative ways so that it can be shared and sold.

Market leadership will come through the consistent pursuit of customer satisfaction, crisp execution of a “frictionless” and scalable enrollment and learning management platform,  and investment sufficient to fuel the Company’s growth. Steve Kamb has 50,000 followers for his blog called Nerd Fitness.  Darren Rowse has 846,000 for his digital photography blog.  There are thousands more like them, in just about every conceivable topic area you can think of.  How did they do it?  

There are a few key principles that every one of these social titans has employed:

  1. They are perceived as an authority on the topics they cover.  
  2. They all have blogs with compelling content and images that is being updated and refreshed continually.
  3. They leverage multiple social media channels to improve their domain authority.

Knoitall is one of the social channels that can position you as an authority by giving you a platform where you can "educate" others about the topics for which you want to be perceived as an authority.  For many current bloggers, this means using the Knoitall platform to build a learning resource center that can be added to their own blog page.

Building your domain authority requires heavy lifting in the creation and management of new content that reflects your knowledge on the topics you cover.  For many, this starts with the development of a blog or a Youtube channel.  

Once these pieces have been created, Knoitall allows you to bring these components into your learning center by tagging this content with Knoitall's learning framework so that people have context for how the content helps them acquire the knowledge they seek. Knoitall also allows you to augment these channels by creating learning posts directly on the Knoitall platform.

When you have created a following and they believe you are an authority, you can then begin to monetize this audience by selling your valuable time.  This is usually done through a package of coaching sessions or one-to-one tutoring that is created, packaged, and sold on the Knoitall platform.  

Once you have created your vibrant community, you can then deliver group classes or webinars that leverage your time to maximize your revenues.  But understand that these revenue generating opportunities only come AFTER you've created a following that believes you are an authority on your chosen topics.

In order to understand our team and our mission, you need to understand what we believe about learning and education, and that is that in every form, education is simply packaging.  Whether it’s a tutor delivering music lessons or Harvard delivering a PhD., it’s the packaging of a set of learning outcomes, and the willingness people will pay to receive those outcomes from that learning provider.  Everything else is secondary.  Who delivers the learning, whether it's delivered in a classroom, on a grassy field, or online, and whether they serve donuts and deliver a nice bound certificate upon completion is all secondary to the core issue of "What specific learning outcomes will I achieve by completing this package?"

So learning outcomes form the foundation of Knoitall and our efforts to level the playing field for consumers and learning providers.  

We help providers package and sell what they know around a set of learning outcomes that are identified as part of their learning package.  Because of this, we can compare a degree program at UCLA to a class delivered by a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley.  What if I told you that you would gain all of the critical learning outcomes for starting and financing your venture, growing your team, and exiting the business from the VC for 1/20th the cost of a UCLA degree in new venture creation?  And you could complete it in 1/10th the time through intense one-on-one sessions versus a large classroom.  Wouldn't you be interested?  We believe you would...especially if you could compare the effectiveness of each in delivering on those learning outcomes.  This is why we believe Knoitall is so valuable to our audience.

We believe in the Gig Economy, and in the new marketplaces like Uber and AirBnb that help me monetize those things I aleady have...an extra bedroom or my car.  Knowledge is one category that doesn’t have a platform to monetize what I know.  We work every day to push Knoitall further towards being that platform; a marketplace that combines commerce with community and user generated content.
